The start of the school year has been full of successes for Lumeen. Today, we are pleased to announce that we are winners of the Med4Age call for projects! The award will enable us to launch our first clinical study to scientifically evaluate the benefits of our virtual reality solution .

Funded by AG2R La Mondiale and organized by Medicalps, this national competition aims to accelerate the development of innovative solutions for health and healthy aging. We were selected from among more than 100 applications and have been awarded 95,000 euros in funding. This grant will be used to fund our first clinical study the Institute of Aging at the Hospices Civils de Lyon. This first step in our clinical research strategy will scientifically evaluate the impact of our virtual reality tool virtual reality behavioral disorders in elderly people .

“The Institute on Aging at the Hospices Civils de Lyon has been collaborating for several years with external partners to offer both in-hospital and out-of-hospital patients non-pharmacological interventions aimed at improving their quality of life. virtual reality offered by Lumeen, provides an unprecedented opportunity to help elderly people their daily well-being through immersion in relaxing visual and auditory environments. This new technology is expected to quickly become an important part of the workshops offered to elderly people designed for relaxation stimulation. The study, conducted with support from AG2R, will assess the impact of Lumeen on the well-being andanxiety elderly people or without cognitive disorders.”

Our goal is to collaborate with professional caregivers develop the tools of the future. We then establish partnerships with recognized hospital teams to scientifically validate the impact of our programs. This initial study is an important step in our development.
