Lyon, August 1, 2026 — Lumeen, a therapeutic solution virtual reality already deployed in more than 900 healthcare and medical-social facilities across Europe, announces its official launch in the North American market in partnership with Eugeria, a Montreal-based company recognized for its rigorous approach to improving the quality of life for people living with cognitive disorders. This distribution partnership marks the beginning of Lumeen’s rollout in the United States and Canada.

A Leading Partner for North America

Founded in Montreal in 2018 by Valérie Larochelle and Dr. Quoc Dinh Nguyen, a geriatrician, Eugeria has established itself as a leading innovator in solutions for seniors and people living with cognitive disorders s in North America. The company selects, tests, and distributes solutions that have been rigorously validated by healthcare professionals, targeting family caregivers, healthcare professionals, and care facilities in both Canada and the United States, where it currently generates the majority of its sales.

As the exclusive distributor of several leading international technologies in North America, Eugeria has forged numerous strategic partnerships in recent years and ranks among Canada’s fastest-growing companies, driven in particular by the expansion of its operations in the United States. This expertise in implementing innovations in healthcare facilities, combined with Lumeen’s technological and clinical maturity, should enable a rapid and controlled adoption of the solution across the Atlantic.

“At Eugeria, the first requirement for us to endorse a product is that it must truly be useful to our customers, both in terms of its concept and its features. We chose Lumeen after a rigorous evaluation of its benefits for people living with cognitive disorders.” — Valérie Larochelle, CEO, Eugeria

A launch supported by the Alzheimer Society of Montreal

The first concrete sign of this launch: the Montreal Alzheimer Society, a leader in supporting people living with neurocognitive disorders for the past 45 years, has become the first Canadian organization to adopt Lumeen.

The Alzheimer Society of Montreal was particularly impressed by the intuitiveness of the Lumeen tablet app, which allows a family caregiver or healthcare professional to guide the experience in real time, as well as by the richness and diversity of its content library, which is specifically designed for an older audience to stimulate memory, social connections, and cognitive functions.

“We have explored various options for offering virtual reality experiences to our clients living with neurocognitive disorders. The Lumeen Headsets will allow our participants at the activity center to enjoy an experience that is both pleasant and well-suited to their needs. We are very excited to launch this turnkey project, which was truly designed with them in mind. ” — Raffaela Cavaliere, Respite and Stimulation Activities Coordinator, Alzheimer Society of Montreal

A key milestone in Lumeen's international expansion

Since its founding, Lumeen has aspired to become an international leader in its category. This first distribution partnership allows the company to establish a foothold in a strategic market and marks a key milestone in this journey. It is the culmination of several years of collaboration with Eugeria and the result of the entire team’s efforts to build a product and an organization strong enough to support expansion across the Atlantic and, more broadly, international growth.

“We are delighted to partner with Eugeria as we enter the North American market. Beyond being the industry leader, Eugeria embraces a long-term vision and a corporate culture very much in line with our own. This partnership holds great promise for the future.” — Corentin Metgy, CEO, Lumeen
