What's New at Lumeen: Playlists, Voiceovers, and Games

We are pleased to announce the release of two new key features, as well as the addition of Games to our catalog!

Playlists: A Feature Designed for the Healthcare Sector

OurGetaway contentGetaway real-life images is highly valued in the healthcare sector. This distraction content complements relaxation content relaxation medical hypnosis techniques, particularly for patients who are unresponsive or resistant to medical hypnosis.

In hospitals, this content is often used during medical procedures to distract patients from pain anxiety. However, the length of ourGetaway videos—Getaway range from 7 to 12 minutes—is often a constraint, as medical procedures frequently take longer. As a result, healthcare teams had to manually switch between multiple videos, despite their limited time and availability.

Playlists solve this problem. With just a few clicks, you can now select up to four experiences that will play automatically one after another to create a longer session. You can choose from predefined themed playlists created by our team, or create your own custom playlists.

Voice-overs are making their way intoGetaway content

Since Lumeen was founded, everyGetaway filmGetaway accompanied by annotations: texts designed to be read aloud by caregivers to guide care recipients the immersive experience. We have always recommended this approach, as it preserves the human connection and encourages interaction, even during virtual reality immersion.

However, in certain care settings, it is sometimes impossible for professionals to read these annotations, leaving residents or patients with beautiful images but without the accompanying context. To address this, we are now adding the option to select a voice-over, which provides context when the caregiver cannot do so.

This feature works seamlessly with playlists, allowing you to play a selection of multipleGetaway videosGetaway built-in voiceovers. For now, this option is available for our 10 most-watched videos; we will gradually expand it to the entire catalog.

The Arrival of Interactive Games

We are also expanding our catalog with three new Games from the Cayceo universe.

Originally designed to support children before, during, or after a medical procedure, these experiences are based on universal mechanisms—such as attention, movement, emotion, and imagination—that resonate with people of all ages and backgrounds. Depending on the context in which they are used, their benefits naturally vary: distraction diversion of attention, management ofanxiety pain, a sense of well-being and calm, and enhanced self-esteem.

A series of puzzles to solve aboard a pirate ship. Alongside Cloudy, who has become the captain, you’ll need to observe, experiment, and try again: perfect for engaging attention and executive functions in a fun and reassuring setting. Between each puzzle, a breathing exercise helps release tension.

🎨 The Awakening of Colors

A free-form coloring game with no rules or performance goals. Everyone repaints the world in their own way. A soothing and very accessible experience that fosters emotional expression and a sense of mastery.

✨ To the Rhythm of the Fireflies

A game of skill and rhythm, driven by music. Capture, progress, and reveal your totem animal: a simple and rewarding gameplay mechanic that stimulates coordination and boosts self-esteem.
