A partnership with the Cirque d'Hiver Bouglione!

The Bouglione Winter Circus, the oldest circus in the world, represents more than 160 years of tradition and magic. It also evokes many memories for elderly people who were able to follow the trail to the stars during 22 years of broadcasting on French television. We are proud to announce our partnership with this circus icon!

One objective: to make culture accessible to prevented audiences
After our collaboration with the Atelier des Lumières, the Centre des Monuments Nationaux and the SNCF, it is one more step towards our goal of making heritage and culture more accessible to the disabled. The Cirque Bouglione team was very sensitive to our mission and knew how to contribute to it by opening the doors of its famous tent, in the Temple district in Paris, for its latest show: “Dingue!”

Unfortunately, this splendid show was short lived. Following government announcements, Cirque had to close its doors to the public in October, only 9 days after the premiere of the show. We had the chance to film during this short period of time, our cameras positioned as close as possible to the track and the artists for an even more immersive rendering.
Several numbers of the show are already available in the Escape module of our solution. You will find the clown Totti, tightrope walkers but also artists handling ribbons and hoops with precision! Throughout 2021, we will publish the other issues of the show to continue to amaze our users: acrobats, dance, juggling, dressage or Chinese shadows, there will be something for everyone!

A collaboration that benefits everyone
We would especially like to thank Fabrice Bing, from the Cirque Production Office. Passionate about new technologies and collected memories, he was immediately open to being able to collect original images of the show, thanks to the use of 360 cameras. He explains to us: “There was something really useful about the project. We have just experienced several periods of confinement during which the shows disappeared. For us, this represented an opportunity to keep track of the show and to open it up to audiences who could no longer experience it. It was this idea of sharing that seduced us.”
This collaboration has therefore been rewarding from every point of view. Today, many elderly people with a loss of autonomy can benefit from this fantastic show and are amazed every day to see the Circus of their youth relive through their virtual reality headsets. The Cirque d'Hiver Bouglione also preserves a very special video memory of a show that lasted only a few days, but now immortalized forever by Lumeen's cameras.
We thank the entire Cirque d'Hiver Bouglione team for their warm welcome, especially at this time which has a huge impact on the world of entertainment.
