Inspired by our grandmother,we launched Lumeen over a year agoto enable elderly people enjoy meaningful, stimulating experiences that foster social connections in nursing homes. We’ve focused on this goal so far, but Lumeen can also improve the daily lives and care of people with disabilities and those who are ill. Our mission now is to make Lumeen accessible to as many people as possible.

The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region has recognized the benefits we provide today in care homes, and those we will bring tomorrow to people with disabilities. That is why they have decided to support us in our mission! Thanks to financial support of nearly 100,000 euros, we will be piloting Lumeen with people with disabilities in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region. Over the next two years, we will improve the daily lives of hundreds of people with disabilities. We will work with special education teachers, psychomotor therapists, doctors, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to better understand the specific needs of this sector and adapt our tools to the care of people with disabilities.

We are very pleased to be carrying out this project with recognized partners in the field, namely:

• APF France handicap:the largest French association dedicated to advocating for and representing people with disabilities their families.
• Odynéo: a family organization active in the Rhône, Ain, and Jura regions, working to promote the well-being of people with disabilities and their loved ones.
• The Richard Foundation, which welcomes and supports young people and adults with disabilities in their life plans and social integration.

Through these partnerships, we will test Lumeen with a variety of groups: children, adolescents, and adults with all types of disabilities. These groups have their own specific needs, and Lumeen can provide a solution to improve well-being, reduceanxiety and pain, and—for some—help them regain their independence.
