With support in 2023 under the regional component of the France 2030 Investments for the Future Program (PIA), Lumeen carried out a transformative R&D project aimed at fundamentally upgrading its technological foundation. Today, Lumeen is proud to announce the success of this project, which strengthens its strategic positioning in France and internationally for the long term.

Jointly led by the central government and the regions, the Investments for the Future Program is fully aligned with the France 2030 strategy. It supports ambitious projects that combine research, experimentation, and industrialization, with a clear objective: to strengthen France’s technological sovereignty, maximize the societal impact of the supported innovations, and contribute to the economic vitality of the regions as well as the creation of sustainable jobs.

The R&D project led by Lumeen over the past two years has made it possible to overcome several major technological hurdles and to thoroughly overhaul the core of its software architecture. This evolution brings fundamental benefits:

• Enhanced scalability, enabling the seamless deployment of thousands of Lumeen devices worldwide, in direct support of the company’s international growth strategy.
• A solution scalable solution that accelerates innovation cycles and opens up access to new applications and markets.
• Flexible software capable of adapting to the specific needs of various hospital departments and medical-social facilities.
• A more intuitive user experience and optimized performance, encouraging adoption by healthcare teams, which directly benefits residents and patients.

This project thus marks the launch of a new generation of Lumeen software, one that is firmly focused on the future and holds great economic, medical, and social potential.

Financial support from the Investments for the Future Program played a decisive role in securing and accelerating this project. In particular, it enabled the company to hire a senior developer and a product manager, while helping to retain a highly qualified R&D team. Thanks to this support, Lumeen was able to cut the time required for technical design and software integration in half. This support serves as a valuable lever for strengthening the company’s competitiveness in a rapidly growing and highly competitive sector, both nationally and internationally.

The new version of the Lumeen software was showcased at the French pavilions during two of the largest medical industry events in Europe and the Middle East: Medica in Düsseldorf (Germany) and the World Health Expo (WHX) in Dubai. It was also unveiled at e-Hälsa in Stockholm, the leading healthcare trade show in the Scandinavian countries. At these events, several international experts with in-depth knowledge of the virtual reality market praised the quality of the solution, describing it as solution “best solution market” and virtual reality .”

This new generation of Lumeen software marks a major milestone in the product’s evolution and reflects the company’s ambition to deploy accessible, immersive solutions that are tailored to real-world conditions and designed to support the long-term evolution of healthcare practices in France and internationally.
