The “Screen Projection” feature, an asset for your Lumeen sessions

Did you know that you can project the Lumeen tablet onto a TV or a big screen? Highly requested by our customers, especially in the medical-social sector to include more participants, we implemented this feature several months ago. Experienced in several partner establishments, it brings several advantages. Let's discover together the benefits that come out of it!

Facilitate the presentation of Lumeen and the selection of an immersion

Even before starting the immersions, the new feature makes it possible to project, on the big screen, the catalog of escapes offered by Lumeen. A layout that allows all residents to view the images and titles of the Escapes available. They can then more easily choose and designate the desired immersion.

In the same way, “Screen Projection” makes it possible to organize sessions with a larger number of residents. The headphones can thus be offered successively to several people, including during the same viewing and without losing track of the session.

Make animations accessible, regardless of the problems encountered

The “Screen Projection” feature intends to offer an alternative to people who are contraindicated as well as to the most reluctant elderly people. Viewing immersions is becoming accessible to all audiences, while respecting their lifestyle and practices. An idea approved by caregivers and animators!

Sessions thus brought together up to 10 participants, including some with moderate cognitive disorders. Driven by this group dynamic, a resident suffering from advanced phasic disorders managed to indicate the immersion she wanted to do, then to verbalize in a much more fluid way what she saw in the helmet and then on the screen! Another resident, suffering from Parkinson's disease and too often bothered by her hypersalivation, gradually “let go”, over the course of the session, and joyfully let herself be carried away by the immersion.

Encourage sharing and mutual assistance between residents

Because it is also about solidarity! By making it possible to support a larger number of people at the same time, the new feature promotes more dynamic sessions. And the magic happens by itself: very quickly, residents who are able to read the subtitles become the “tourist guides” of immersion for others.

It was magnificent! MAGNIFICENT! And instructive at the same time.

Along with PASA residents, the animators encourage the participants with the headphones to look around them and comment on what they see. At the same time, they guide residents who are spectators on the big screen, via the tablet. The virtual tour of Lyon is a great success and brings back memories for the participants, which are very eloquent!

Encourage fun and participative feedback

With the end of the experience comes the time for the feedback. Feedback is thus offered by the animators between each immersion and at the end of the complete session. And again, the new feature acts as an enabler. First, by allowing the end of the session quiz to be broadcast on the big screen. Participants with hearing disabilities can more actively participate in the feedback by reading the questions and answers on the big screen. The answers abound, the laughs too.

In addition, by allowing time for collective discussion, animators can take advantage of the group dynamic between residents, who have all had the same experience. Each of the seniors can report on what they learned from the session, what stories were shared, and how they felt.

Thanks to the EHPAD Les Cristallines and the Atlantis residence for their trust and their commitment to us in this approach!
